A report printed in The Evesham Journal in August 1934 listed the tennants of the Russell cottages.
They were all, except one, employed at the Gordon Russell furniture factory nearby:-

H.E. Dolby (Harry)......... Employed by The Lygon Arms Hotel (also owned by the Russell family)

A.H. Milne (Paddy)........ Dispatch

A.H. Tanner (Harry) .......Machine shop foreman

C.A. Beadle (Charlie) ......Cabinet maker

H.J. Mann (Jimmy) .........Cabinet maker

P.J. Wade (Percy) ..........Assembly shop foreman

D. Keen (Dennis) ............Blacksmith

S.H. Gardiner (Harry)...... Blacksmith shop foreman
